NAR Fair Housing Month Date: April 2025 April is Fair Housing Month, an annual observance led by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) to celebrate and reaffirm the commitment to fair housing practices in the real estate industry. This month honors the anniversary of the Fair Housing Act of 1968, which prohibits discrimination in housing based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, and disability. What It Means for REALTORS®: Fair Housing Month serves as a reminder of the critical role REALTORS® play in creating equitable opportunities in housing. It's a time to reflect on and promote inclusivity and diversity within the industry. REALTORS® are encouraged to participate in educational events, training sessions, and initiatives that focus on fair housing best practices.
